Today I would like to reflect with you two important points from the Gospel. Firstly, Jesus said, “Everyone who acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man also will acknowledge before the angels of God.” God has gifted each one of us with immense graces and blessings. He has protected us and is constantly leading and guiding us despite difficulties, problems, and struggles that we face today physically, spiritually, and psychologically due to coronavirus, the various natural disasters as well as the manmade disasters that are happening today in this world. Do we still see and recognize the presence of God in our life especially his unconditional love and mercy towards us?
Do we take time every day to say thank you Lord that I am still alive? The Lord today invites each one of us to acknowledge him gently and tenderly every day of our lives.
Secondly, Jesus said, “He who denies me before men, will be denied before the angels of God.” We all have denied Christ in different ways by being unfaithful to oneself and the others, not able to keep the promises and also by being insensitive to the needs of others. However, our Lord is compassionate enough to forgive us whenever we turn to him with a heart of repentance. Today let us examine ourselves and introspect, ‘how much do I acknowledge the Lord in my life and how many times have I denied him knowingly and unknowingly?’
