ICM Moves Up in World’s Top 100 Influential Catholic Websites

Bengaluru-based Indian Catholic Matters (ICM), a leading online Catholic publication, has been ranked 53 in this year’s Feedspot top 100 Catholic websites in the world. Feedspot – the global ranking website – rates blogs, podcasts and youtube channels in several niche categories. Earlier it was at 64th and 57th places, respectively.

ICM is the only online publication from India to be featured in this category. The ranking is based on relevancy, blog post frequency (freshness), social metrics, domain authority, traffic and many other parameters. Feedspot’s 2020 Top 100 Catholic blogs, websites and influencers’ list was updated January 10, 2020.

With millions of online publications on the web, finding influential websites in a niche industry is a hard problem to address. ICM’s experience lends credence to believe that incisive and insightful Indian Catholic content finds merit among the global readers.

It’s indeed a matter of honour for Indian Catholic Matters that it rubs shoulders with the likes of number one-ranked Catholic News Agency (CNA), a daily news source with global coverage of the Catholic Church; second-ranked National Catholic Register that provides news of the day; third-ranked Eternal Word Television Network (ETWN); fourth-ranked Catholic News Service which provides news from the U.S. and Rome and around the world in in written coverage, images and video reporting. The fifth-ranked Kansas-based National Catholic Reporter also finds mention in the list. Britain’s leading Catholic magazine Catholic Herald stands at 10 while the well-known America Magazine – The Jesuit Review is at 12.

Started just over two-and-half years ago, it’s remarkable that Indian Catholic Matters has shot into the top 100 global Catholic online publications’ list within a short span of time. If one were to key in ‘Top 100 Catholic websites 2020’ in Google, it will throw up Feedspot’s ‘Top Top 100 Catholic Blogs, Websites & Influencers’ in 2020

Indian Catholic Matters wishes to thank its authors, writers, well-wishers and more importantly its readers who have time and again been visiting ICM day in and day out.

Indian Catholic Matters – A new home for the Indian Catholic Community — is an initiative to fill the void felt for some time of a truly Indian website portal for Catholic resources. It features news from the Church in India, enriching Homilies, articles, various Christian themes, faith, spirituality, art, film, books, culture, parenting, teenager issues, education, social media, technology, youth, etc.

The community-centric Indian Catholic Matters portal, a self-funded initiative, offers daily reflections and also aims is to educate and inform the community, provide opportunities for sharing spiritual knowledge and incisive insights into the Catholic faith from an India perspective.

Indian Catholic Matters also shares its content with Aleteia – the most visited global Catholic website in the world on both platforms for the benefit of a wider audience. Significantly, ICM too has launched an exclusive Aleteia channel on its site which it believes will have a great appeal to the Indian audience. Happy reading!

Observant visitors would have noticed that the site is being populated with Catholic spiritual content, features, analysis, reflections, etc., and more so as it grows over in the coming weeks and months.
