The ethics and the principles of each religion are different. Their teachings about life and its destination too are different. It all depends on the God or gods that any religion believes in and the way to reach that God or gods. As a whole now the idea has grown to a state where people begin to say and believe that all religion is the same and they lead to the same God but they name it differently.
In today’s gospel, Jesus teaches his disciples about the way that they need to journey to reach Father. The way is Jesus himself. Although the disciples were with him, listened to all his teachings and saw all his works, yet they failed to understand the metaphorical language of Jesus. it is one of the reasons why Jesus scolded his disciples sometimes when he found them worried about some unnecessary things.
These days due to the spread of COVID 19 the movement of the whole world is stalled. No one can go around without fear of getting affected. All the churches, temples, mosques, and all the places of worship are closed. In this situation what could be the meaning of walking in the way of the Lord? All are advised to remain indoors. Maybe this is the best time that anyone gets to spend time with the family, community, or wherever one belongs to. It is the best time to develop a relationship and understanding with one another.
Maybe it is also a call to be productive with the limited resources available and develop some skills. May be doing all these things means ‘walking in the way of Jesus.’ The temptation is to give up on doing these and remaining idle. How far can we fight against our temptation and be productive? Let us examine and ask the Lord for the grace to be productive.
