Today the church celebrates the solemnity of the Holy Trinity.
And this feast invites us to live in the awareness of the presence of the Triune God within us. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Three Divine persons sharing the same divine nature in one God. The Trinity is united in love and another name of the Trinity is love. We are called to witness and proclaim the message that God is love, and this nature is revealed to Moses in the book of Exodus; God who is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.
In the gospel we see God’s love manifested in the person of Jesus Christ. God loved us so much, that he became a man. He came to the world to show us that everything is bound by love, and he invites us to show that love in our day-to-day living.
We can experience God’s love and help others to experience his love by extending our helping hand to the people who are in difficult moment, by becoming little more generous in sharing our time with the people who have no one to listen to them.
We can help people to experience God’s love in various ways provided we are open to the Holy Spirit who inspires us to do the acts of charity. Let us ask the Holy Spirit to guide us to experience his love in our day-to-day life.
