“Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you.” The Gospel reading of the day invites me to pray always and not to lose heart. Prayer is raising my heart to God. Prayer is a dialogue with God. We see in today’s gospel that a woman does not stop asking for a favor from a powerful judge to grant her justice for her life. She is firm in asking.
Therefore, I am invited today to be rooted in Christ. My spiritual practices should be my daily joy. I need to be rooted in building up a good relationship with Jesus. Jesus focuses on the action of the woman and draws out a lesson that believers must persevere in their faith and prayer life.
So, as I am invited to follow Christ radically I need to be persistent in prayer. I need to believe that Jesus is always at my side, and he is always there for me. He invites me to come to him and ask for all that I need, and he will grant me. I pray to Jesus to guide me by his spirit so that I may be able to ask what I need for my growth.
