Wisdom and faith are two fundamental pillars that can help us to lead a fulfilling life. They can provide us with guidance, comfort, and strength during life’s journey. Wisdom is the ability to make sound judgments and decisions based on experience and knowledge, while faith is the belief in something greater than oneself.
Together, they can help us find meaning and purpose in our lives. Today’s first reading speaks about the nature of wisdom and makes us understand that it is available to all those who seek it with sincerity of heart.
In the gospel reading we hear about sin and forgiveness. We need wisdom to avoid the occasion of sin and faith to forgive. Pope Francis in one of the sermons said that we should never tire of forgiving because we have been forgiven by God. We have all been forgiven at some point in our lives, and it is important to extend that same forgiveness to others. Apostles realized that unless they have faith in God, they cannot forgive again and again, therefore, they asked Jesus to increase their faith. May the merciful Lord strengthen our faith and guide us in the ways of forgiveness and charity.
