Home Minister Mr Amit Shah, at a public function on Wednesday in Kerala, categorically committed himself to taking action against the anti social elements who attacked reverend sisters at Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh. The Home Minister’s response came in response to Member of Parliament, Mr Alphons J Kannanthanam’s appeal on the incident.
Mr Alphons presented the appeal to Mr Shah at Ponkunnam in Kottayam district of Kerala requesting immediate action against the anti social elements who attacked the sisters in Uttar Pradesh. Amith Shah was in Ponkunnam for an election rally in support of Alphons.

Four them were de-boarded and taken to a Police Station. One of them incidentally is from Kerala.”
Mr Alphons appreciated the government and recalled Prime Minister’s Modi’s commitment to equality. “Prime Minister Modiji has stated categorically on various occasions that his administration is for everybody. In various meetings with the Christian community, he has assured equality for all, as enshrined in the Constitution,” he added.
Mr Alphons reminded Mr Shah who was sharing the dias with him that “You too have expressed your view on this matter that such criminal activities will not be tolerated in our country.”
In his speech, Mr Shah publicly promised strict action on the anti social elements who attacked the Reverend Sisters in Jhansi, UP. He assured that Uttar Pradesh is ruled by BJP and strict action will be taken on the culprits. He promised that the people of Kerala need not worry about the safety of their people outside the state.
