Jesus is born today and the words of the Angel to the Shepherd “Unto you is born this day a savior who is Christ the Lord comfort me as well as challenge me. The words are comforting because Jesus is the savior, and He is born for me to save me from ungodliness, worldly pleasures, and passion. He is born for me to give light to my world to save me from walking in the darkness. The birth of the child Jesus is a call for me to rejoice with my whole being. He is born to give peace to my restless heart and to establish a sense of justice and righteousness in my mind.
The words of Angel challenge me to keep the joy of the birth of Jesus alive and active each day in my life by living a selfcontrolled, upright, and godly life. I feel humbled and fortunate to receive the message of the Angel. Though I consider myself unworthy the Lord has come to me in a personal way to rejoice with my good and pure heart and celebrate this Christmas with joy with one another.
So, the heartwarming thing for me during this Christmas is that Christ is born for me to lighten my path to walk towards the fullness of life. The challenge for me is to be aware and grateful for the presence of Jesus in my life to live a just and righteous life.
