Readings: Acts 17:15-22, 18:1; Jn 16:12-15
As the world is going through a very serious crisis fighting the corona virus it is apt to reflect on this word of God today. As days go by the spread of virus is increasing rapidly, the hope and faith of humankind becomes a big question mark. Yet in this period of hopelessness and crisis in my life do I find meaning in my way of life? Do I feel for the poor and the ordinary people of my neighborhood?
Very often my attitude towards the poor and needy is help them in their needs, yet I give priority to myself rather than others. The risen Lord is inviting me through this reading to not lose hope in him but believe in him so that I may become an instrument in his hand and that Holy Spirit may work through me to find meaning in my life. May my little act of charity in this period of need help others, and may I become a channel of hope to the people around me.
