Readings: Ex 33:7-11, 34:5-9; Mt 13:36-43
The readings of the day invite us to become aware of our situation and to take good decisions in our life.
As a Christian I not only believe but also confess that God is the author of my life, son is the saviour, and spirit is the guardian of my life. But as I grow in my life, many times I forget that I am a child of God and I am created in the image of God to be a tool of his.
Now I am influenced to enjoy worldly pleasure like enjoying my life by not being responsible to my work, not respecting the elders, not happy with the things that I have, being jealous of others, becoming selfish etc… By my sinful behaviour I started to harm others as weed harms the good plants. So, the readings of the day help me to become aware of my situation and to restore my broken relationship with God and enjoy my life with the Holy Spirit.
As result of my sinful behaviour, I reject God and all wrong doings of mine appears as good for me. And it is not only fact of my separation from God but also involves my willful disobedience. So, let us become aware of our situation and take good decisions and become obedient to God.
