Bengaluru: Bosco Youth of Bangalore Archdiocese celebrated Gandhi Jayanti by pledging a greener nature on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation and an Apostle of Peace.
Around 41 young people took an active part in PRAYAS: A mega rural plantation drive organized by the Lions Club International, Region IV. Young people from Bosco Youth along with their animators participated in the plantation drive. The youth joined hands with Lions Club and planted over 1,000 saplings at Kishore Farm, Manchanahalli, Chikkaballapur district about 60 km from Bangalore city.
It was yet another opportunity for the members of Bosco Youth who are guided by the Motto – Together Towards a Better World – to pledge towards a greener nature.
Fr. William D’Souza, the regional director of Bosco Youth, Karnataka, Fr. Arun Kumar, the Assitant Parish Priest of Don Bosco Church, Lingarajapuram, Bangalore, Fr. Anil D’Sa, the Youth Director of Bangalore Archdiocese, the founder of Eco Pals and Sr. Maria Rajalakshmi, the director of Auxilium Youth were present for the occasion along with the youth.
