Readings: Is 40: 25-31; Mt 11: 28-30
The liturgy of the Word calls us to have hope in God to live a committed and faithful life. The first reading reminds us that God is the creator of all things and those who believe and hope in him will have eternal life. God is present everywhere, his presence makes us feel his love and care for all.
Everyone is busy with work and we are not spending much time with the Lord. It is because of our responsibility or work or tiredness which creates or makes us to be self- centered and try to live for ourselves not for others. Through this reading God makes us to be aware of his own love and care for us through his creation. And he calls us to surrender our life to God and live our life according to the plan of God which makes us to live for other people and their livelihood.
In our day-to-day life we face lots of problem and difficulty which makes us to go away from God and also makes us to doubt about the existence of God. Today’s gospel reading gives a beautiful message to each and every one of us that we must reach God by keeping our hope in God and surrendering our weakness and strength to God and seek his assistance to help us throughout our life.
He also invites us to face all the difficulties by putting all our effort which brings our realization the talents and grace we have received from God. He invites us to surrender our self to his providence and trust and have hope in him. Then he will guide us throughout our life. He also extends this invitation to all the others through us and it is the core responsibility of each us to bring the people to God and make them to understand his love and care and help them to go closer to God and have hope in him.
