Many people around us may like to take shortcuts in life. In education, some people pass exams without studying enough and without adequate knowledge about subjects, but by means of bribery or copying. Some people get into government jobs as teachers without enough knowledge or capacity because of which students suffer. This happens not only in educational field but in every field of human society. Often, we come across people who are physically fit but still beg for a living; while some young people don’t have the sense to even help their own parents.
Each individual has his/her own spirituality. But if they do not have a strong relationship with their own God, that spirituality is also weak. Today, the Lord is inviting us to put our whole heart and mind to make a strong foundation in anything that we do, be it in education, or in using our talents and in our spiritual life too.
Higher the building, deeper the foundation needs to be. If we see great personalities of the world, they became great because of the strong foundation they had in the form of values and determination. The strength of the building depends on its foundation. It is up to us on how strong we want the foundation of our lives to be.
Let us to build our life on Christ, the solid foundation to live a life based on his Gospel values.
