Readings: Eph 3: 2-12; Lk 12: 39-48
Today’s readings invite each of us to live faithfully within God’s divine plan. We are reminded that God loves everyone and desires for us to unite in that love, fostering community spirit and compassion among one another.
This plan is not merely a guideline; it is a pathway that brings us closer to God and to each other. In the gospel, Jesus teaches us the importance of serving others with love and reminds us to be prepared for his return. When we engage in acts of service, we open our hearts to experiencing God’s love and joy.
As today’s saint, Anthony Mary Claret wisely stated, “The greatest service we can render to God is to make our neighbours happy.” This call to serve is not just a duty; it is an opportunity to reflect God’s love in action. Living for God brings us joy and fulfilment.
When we align our lives with his purpose, we experience a profound sense of peace and contentment. St. Claret said, “The soul should be the greatest treasure, for it is the gift of God.” Let us cherish this gift and use it to show his love to everyone we encounter.
