I have seen many people having trust and faith in God, but do not have a solid foundation, which means they have no lasting faith in God, and it is applicable to me also.
I have even seen some people having the power of the Holy Spirit who could heal various sicknesses and cast out demons from the people. But this power of the Holy Spirit which was in them remained only for some years and then it disappeared because they did not build their faith on a solid foundation which is to be found in God.
Today, the gospel is calling me to build my faith on a solid foundation, a lasting faith in God. My faith in God should not be just a showpiece for others or pretending to be someone, a holy person by saying ‘Lord, Lord’. But rather, I am called to have genuine faith in God and show it through my actions and not just words. As I take up a new ministry, my genuine faith in God will help me do well in life and inspire people, especially the youth.
There will be some people who will tempt me to follow their gods (their way of life) as I go ahead in my ministry, but today I am called to stand firm in building up my faith in God. I ask God to
grant me the strength to do his will in my life.
