New Delhi: Responding to the call for building Sri Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, minority communities like Muslims and Christians are coming forward to donate for the construction of Sri Ram Mandir at Sri Ram Janmasthan Ayodhya. A group of Muslim Intellectuals have already donated Rs 10,10,716/- for the Ram Temple.
The Poor Christian Liberation Movement (PCLM), an organization of Christians, has come forward and donated Rs 21000/- for the Ayodhya temple. The PCLM collected this amount from over 100 of their members and handed over to Advocate Alok Kumar, International Working President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP).
PCLM chairman R L Francis, Advocate George Toms and H S Dubey called on Adv Alok Kumar and handed over the bank cheque to him. The PCLM leaders said that we are contributing to the construction of Sri Ram Temple voluntarily.
Francis said that if the minorities, especially Muslims and Christians come forward and donate for Sri Ram Mandir, it would present an example of mutual trust, brotherhood and unity and would definitely strengthen the true secularism and coordination among the citizens.
The PCLM said that India is country with unity in diversities where people of all religions live in atmosphere of peace and brotherhood. As the Muslims and Christians take pride in their sacred places the Hindus also have similar feelings for Sri Ram Janma bhumi. Sri Ram is Dharma Incarnate, Francis said crediting Sri Ram for peace and unity of the country.
Adv Alok Kumar thanked the PCLM for their gesture and appealed to the people to donate generously for the cause of Sri Ram Mandir.
