The Federation of Telugu Churches (FTC), and its state wing, the Telangana State Federation of Churches (TSFC), which is the apex body of archbishops/ bishops and church heads of major Christian denominations, whole heartedly congratulated and extended their greetings, and expressed happiness over the new government under the leadership of Mr. A. Revanth Reddy, the Chief Minister of Telangana State.
The press note issued today said, “The Christian Community in Telangana State has been making efforts to usher in a government that upholds the values of Secularism, Democracy, Concern for the poor and the marginalised, and the Welfare of the Christian Community.”
“We are hopeful that all the promises made to the minorities and in particular to the Christian community in providing adequate representation to the community in the Government at different levels including the state cabinet will be honoured,” the released added..
The FTC – TSFC Office Bearers, Most Rev. Cardinal Poola Anthony, the Catholic Archbishop of Hyderabad, Rt. Rev. Bishop K. Padma Rao of CSI Dioceses in Dornakal and Medak, Rt. Rev. Bishop M.A. Daniel of Methodist Church and Rt. Rev. Bishop John Gollapalli of Free Methodist Church and other Christian leaders attended the swearing-in ceremony and congratulated the new C.M. and other Ministers, and promised their full cooperation to the government, and expressed their prayerful wishes in this season of Christmas.
