Readings: Act 2: 14, 23-27; Mt 28: 8-15
The readings of the day indicate that nothing can stop Jesus’s kingdom from spreading across in the world. Jesus was the chosen one, who came to this world to us because of God’s love for humanity. The conspiracy of Pharisees to stop Jesus’s resurrection event as a myth was futile because the more they tried to hide, the more it spread. The promise of Jesus is being fulfilled through this act of salvation.
There are many evil forces that stop us from spreading Jesus in the world. But Jesus chose to reach to all people. At times, we get tempted with material goods, hide the truth and keep to ourselves like the soldiers. Though we are aware, we fail to raise our voice and speak the truth because of our human weaknesses and temptations.
Today, Jesus is inviting all of us to remember that we were created for a purpose to spread Jesus wherever we are. To remember my mission, I am being invited to cling on to the risen lord who is my source of inspiration and passion.
