Today’s gospel reading gives us a beautiful message of hope for all of us. In the gospel we are warned about great earthquakes, famines and pestilences. And there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.
Today, we see all these things are happening in this world. In the year 2019-2021 the entire world was tormented by the covid-19 pandemic. Consequently, we were engulfed in fear,
anxiety and uncertainty for our lives because of the uncontrolled spread of the virus, killed millions of people. Still, it once again coming up with different forms like Omicron.
All of us are living with most challenging time in the human history. What a hopeless situation it would be if we had no faith in God. There is hope filled life for those who believe in Christ Jesus.
Today the word of God gives assurance to all of us that we do not have to fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul, rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
Natural calamities, wars, destruction, persecution, and pestilence should not shake our faith in God and the Christian hope that we place on Jesus Christ. Let us continue to keep faith in Jesus so that he comes in time to help us in various forms those who keep faith in Christ.
