Experience the Divine and Eternal love

Readings: Mic 7:14-15,18-20; Lk 15:1-3,11-32

In the first reading, Prophet Micah speaks about the unfailing love of God. And in the Gospel Jesus speaks about the nature of God. God’s unfailing forgiveness and love are shown from one generation to the next.

Even though we have sinned against him, he never forsakes us. As human beings who are weak and fragile, sometimes we keep a grudge for many years, and we fail to forgive others who had done wrong to us. God does not keep us away when we are away from him, instead, he is always on the lookout for those who want to return to him.

So, if God is so merciful to his people, then why should we not be merciful to others? Each time we fall into sin, there must be a turning point in our life too. We should not get stuck in our sin but be like the prodigal son who repents and goes back to his father. What is most important in our life is to realize our own sins and return to God’s mercy and love. This season of Lent is a time for us to be aware of mercy and compassion of God who is yearning for our return.

Therefore, let us be humble and turn from worldly and sinful life and go back to God who is waiting eagerly to embrace us. Let us experience the divine and eternal love.
