“Child, why have treated us like this? Look your father and I have been searching for you in great anxiety”.
I think that most of us today are asking God the same question that Mother Mary asked Jesus. ‘Dear God, why are you treating us like this?’ As the days go by the situation becomes more serious and nothing good seems to happen. Whole world is fighting with this covid-19, and as I meditate over this gospel passage, Jesus places before me two great examples of hope and trust: Mother Mary and St. Joseph. Even in the most difficult situations of their lives they never abandon their hope and trust in the Lord.
Today I am called by God to imitate this hope and trust in the Lord believing that this time of suffering also will go away. As a positive thinker rightly said, 2020 is a year to live, don’t worry about profit or loss, don’t worry about dreams and planning. This year, to stay alive is equivalent to profit and when I am able to find Jesus in this time of suffering and pain that will be a great success in my life.
Finding Jesus in my life demands from me a turn-back in my life leaving behind the noise and crowd and entering into the inner self of my being in order to find Jesus in my life. Thus, my stay away from the world will help me to find Jesus in the temple of my own self.
