He Will Lead us to Perfection

Throughout history, we know that the Jews were famous for having God’s commandments by their side and they take pride in that. But the problem with them was they were thinking mere possession of the commandments would save them. Jesus being aware of this hypocritical attitude of the people said, “He that has My commandments and keep them…loveth Me.”

A mere word of loving would not suffice to convey our love for God. It is in keeping Christ’s commandments that manifest the best test of our love for Christ. The proof of our being true followers of Christ is reflected in our gradual fulfilment of Christ’s will and making His way our way of life.

All our good intentions are useless if not accompanied by good actions. If we are not trying to progress in the direction of Christ’s teaching, then we are no different and can be identified as the modern variant of Pharisees and Sadducees of Jesus’ time. It is in keeping Christ’s commandment that benefits us and others. We may be imperfect in our attempts, but Christ will strengthen us by His grace. Our duty is to try our best of doing something useful and follow Christ’s example (Jn 21:17).

At times we may fall and may not be able to understand the mystery of God, but the Holy Spirit will teach, reveal, and lead to His direction. He will lead and empower us in our development to learn and obey the Word of God, especially in times of uncertainty, He will be our comforter that lead us to the perfection of our Christian discipleship.
