Readings: Acts 22:3-16; Mk 16:15-18
Today we celebrate the conversion of Paul. In the first reading, he speaks of his former life and the life-changing experience at Damascus. The account of his encounter with Jesus serves as a powerful reminder that God’s transformative grace can reach even the most resistant hearts. This prompts me to reflect on my own journey of faith, considering moments when divine intervention redirected my path and opened my eyes to the truth.
The gospel reading amplifies this reflection by emphasizing the call to share the Gospel. Jesus’ commission to go into the world and proclaim the good news carries personal weight, urging me to actively participate in spreading the message of salvation. The promise of miraculous signs accompanying faith is both encouraging and challenging, prompting me to approach my faith with a sense of expectancy and trust in the extraordinary work of God.
Both readings collectively stir a profound sense of gratitude for the transformative power of encountering Christ and a deep responsibility to share this life-changing experience with others. The narratives challenge me to live out my faith not only in personal conviction but also in the mission to illuminate the lives of those around me with the radiant truth of the gospel.
