As a religious the readings of the day are a challenge for me, because I imagine myself to be someone different and great when I compare myself with the ordinary people.
And most often I tend to think that people should come to me rather than I going to them. It is very often my ideology that prevents me from stepping into the life of ordinary people and gives me a perfect comfort where I live my day-to-day life.
As we are in the season of Lent preparing ourselves through prayer, fasting and almsgiving to celebrate the great feast of Easter, Jesus calls you and me to live a simple life, and not to forget our primary purpose as Christian. We are called to serve others and this servicemindedness come to us only when we are able to love them. So today let us pray to God for the grace to love everyone so that we may able to serve the people who come to us and this Easter may become a memorable one.
