Fr. Clement Deep S, joint secretary, Commission for Social Communication quoted American singer, songwriter and poet Jim Morrison, “Whoever controls the media, controls the mind”
“It is very true that media today has grown strong and long to control every aspect of our life. Its influence has proven effective in forming public opinions, spreading awareness and propagating changes that makes life better for human beings. It is this positive energy of the social media that we would like to tap efficiently to spread the love of God, and to reach out to all who need spiritual help. The Metropolitan Archbishop of Bangalore, Most Rev. Dr. Peter Machado, was keen on reaching out to the People of God effectively by making the best use of the media power available at hand. Thanks to his efforts and guidance, we have a redesigned Website for the Archdiocese of Bangalore today,” Fr Clement added.
The new PRO of the Archdiocese, Mr. J A Kanthraj, spoke a few words about what the laity can expect from this new Website. Thousands of Devotees of the Infant Jesus were gathered on Monday to participate in the car procession and to receive the blessings and graces of Infant Jesus. They were thrilled to witness the launching of the new website as it is meant to realize the better connectivity with our Chief Shepherd and to make this tool to draw the overflowing spiritual riches of the Archdiocese of Bangalore.
Everyone will receive weekly messages from the Archbishop, news and events of the Archdiocesan parishes, shrines, commissions, associations, spiritual reflections by various resource persons. The redesigned Website is user-friendly and it has many information and the entire directory of the Archdiocese Online. May God bless this endeavour.
Mr. Nelson John and others at Firesoft helped in redesigning the new website.
