The theme of the homily, ‘to be little victims of love,’ emphasized the importance of evangelical self-denial and radical dedication to living out the vows of religious life. Father Silvestre’s reflections drew inspiration from the lives of Carmelite saints and the ultimate sacrifice of love exemplified by Jesus Christ.

The post-mass felicitation event provided an opportunity for Fr. Silvestre D’Souza and other clergy to acknowledge the support of the brothers’ families and commend the professed for their dedication and exemplary qualities.

Fr. Deep Fernandes and other clergy members highlighted the significance of the professed brothers’ commitment and the importance of their role within the Carmelite community. The encouragement and support extended to the newly professed brothers underscored the communal spirit and shared mission of the Carmelite Order in fostering spiritual growth and service to others. The event served as a reminder of the profound calling to religious life and the enduring legacy of the Carmelite tradition in Karnataka and Goa. Fr. Babusha Rodrigues OCD skillfully guided the proceedings as the host of the felicitation programme.
