Let Him Use Us for His Mission

Both Zechariah and Elizabeth are advanced in their age, as Abraham and Sarah in (Gen 18), and at that age, they were promised a child, yet they had no problem with that. From these two divine incidents, we are invited to learn that we must be comfortable with a God who is full of surprises. I believe that each of us is a promised child of God with a mission to prepare the way for God and his faithful people.

Now the question is do I fear these kinds of surprises or, do I trust that God would help me on the way in my journey to go on? Certainly, our ways are not God’s ways. What he really wants from us is to accept his ways that are entrusted to us and carry out with willingness without doubting his grace. He wants us to cooperate with his will in order to develop the given gifts in us. In those two divine incidents, we see their cooperation with God and the fulfilment of God’s will through those holy people.

So, let us pray today to the Lord that he may help us to appreciate that each of us is a promised child of his, so that we may cooperate with his plan for us and carry out what he desires of us, because we have absolutely no idea how he is going to make
use of us for his mission.
