Today, the liturgy of the word invites us to always relate to Jesus, who is the source of our life. In the first reading, Prophet Ezekiel was taken by an angel to the river that flows from the sanctuary. Wherever this river flowed, on both sides of the river, many trees grew. Their fruits
will be for food, and their leaves for healing. This river flows always without ceasing, and wherever it flows, there is always fresh water that gives new life.
The gospel reading is about the healing by Jesus at the pool. Jesus heals an invalid, who suffered for thirty-eight years. Jesus heals everyone whoever comes his way, even if with little faith in God. He placed everyone above the Sabbath and the law. His only reason to heal people
was because he considered everyone as children of one loving heavenly Father.
Jesus is the river that flows from the sanctuary. Wherever he went, Jesus always had a big crowd around him (Jn 2:6). With compassion and love, he healed them. We are invited to stay connected to Jesus in our daily life. We need to be with Jesus every moment of our life so that we may experience his loving presence in our lives. As we are in the session of Lent, let this be an opportunity for us to be with Jesus. Our daily life is a gift, and every moment is a chance for us to experience his love and to live life by following Jesus. Let Jesus be the source with whom we
always stay connected.
