Readings: 1 Tim 1: 15 – 17; Lk 6: 43 – 49
In the first reading we hear the proclamation of Paul about the acceptance of Christ as Saviour of the world, and urging the people to believe in Jesus Christ. Paul himself experienced Christ’s saving power and forgiving heart in his life for he was once an unbeliever and a sinner.
Paul invites us today to be like him and to bring people to know and believe Christ as the Savior of the world. Therefore, today it is our duty to be good and do good, and bring forth the goodness of Christ in people’s lives.
In the Gospel we hear Jesus saying that the foundation of our inner house of faith is measured by the choice we made. There are choices of words and deeds, but how and what we choose matters in the foundation of our faith. Jesus is clearly asking us to follow, to listen and to obey the Word of God in our lives for the Word of God always bears good fruits in the garden of our life.
