In the first reading we see the relationship between God and the people. The people of Israel and those who returned from exile rebuilt the house of God. After having rebuilt the house of God, the people celebrated the dedication of this house of God with joy.
God calls us to be in his path and be with him in every moment of our life celebrating the joy of being together in his household. God wants us to have an intimate relationship with him.
In the Gospel reading, Jesus tells us, “My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and do it.” Jesus also tells us to have an intimate relationship with God and not so much of with the world and its materials. In order to have a good relationship with God, Jesus asks us to listen to the word of God. Let us make an effort to see the face of God in the Scripture in order to have a relationship with God.
