In today’s gospel we see the disciples returned from their mission giving glory to Jesus. They praised him for the glorious experience he had granted them in his name. He too shared in their joy and reminded them that their goal is far beyond the conquest of evil but in becoming a part of his kingdom. To belong to his kingdom and to have the names written in heaven are our ultimate goals in life.
Today as we celebrate the feast of our Lady of Rosary, we keep this truth in our mind. Rosary is an effective form of prayer which makes us to reflect on what Jesus did and to take his values and attitudes into our lives. According to Tertulian rosary is the summary of the whole gospel.
St. Louis de Montfort says “never will anyone who prays his rosary every day be led astray. This is a statement that I would gladly sign with my blood.” May our devotion to our blessed mother Mary, especially through the holy rosary help us to gain victory over evil and to manifest genuine love for God and people.
