The liturgy of the word invites me to have the right knowledge of everything and have the right approach to see things clearly.
In the first reading, David mourns the death of Saul and his son Jonathan. But there was a man who instead of mourning, came to David to look for something from him like it seemed good.
In the gospel I see that people went out to seize Jesus and say that he is gone out of his mind. These people failed to see things done by Jesus. Rather they started labelling him as a mad man. They failed to recognize the identity and personality of Jesus. Today if Jesus comes to me in a different person, will I be able to recognize him? Or will I label him as something because of his weakness?
It is our human tendency to look for something extraordinary in someone but fail to see goodness in him. We become closed-minded persons and protect our own personality. Let my mind and heart open to accept all and their personalities.
