In our lives, we find it difficult to rejoice in the Holy Spirit. We fail in it because of our pride. We usually think what we do and say is right. We do not consider the Holy Spirit as a partner in our daily life. The companionship of the Holy Spirit is significant for holiness in our life and as a lifelong helper to lead a righteous life. It is the promptings of the Holy Spirit which make us bear witness to the Lord throughout our life and help us grow in the fruits of the Spirit.
It is easy for us not to heed to the Spirit or be led away by our own whims and fancies. But to heed the Spirit is to do good deeds when no one is watching us, without seeking any praise and appreciation. These kinds of works are done by our parents, teachers, and our well-wishers. They take pain upon themselves so that we do not face any trouble.
Our real happiness lies when we are happy with ourselves for what we have done. Though our work may need extra time and effort on our part, the joy we receive comes from the Holy Spirit. When it happens, we find joy even in our pain and sufferings. So, let us rejoice in the Holy Spirit and be joyful with our little efforts done secretly for the good of others and for society.
