Readings: Ezek 37: 1-14; Mt 22: 34-40

The readings speak of love of God and first commandment which goes beyond all other commandments. God shows his love by giving his life to everyone and particularly through the example of dry bones which symbolizes misery in life and the absence of God’s grace. When the hand of God is upon each one of us, there is no dryness.
We should keep in mind that there is no end to the work of love by God. As God puts all bones together and brings the person out of his dryness, he gives a life with blessings. God also urges us to share the same love with our neighbor. Nothing is impossible to God because he is the source of all things.
As we live in the world amidst many relations, let us promote that love which God has shown us through his Son, Jesus Christ. As Christians, let us fill our hearts with love and be led by the Spirit with respect and authentic love for every human being.
