In today’s gospel, we read that Jesus is asking us to choose the kingdom of God above everything. Many a time we fail to realize the origin of our life or the Person who sent us to this world. We go behind many more attractive things in this world and forget to seek the kingdom of heaven.
We discontinue the relationship with God by going after momentary things. Gospel also gives me insight that we sometimes go after one thing and forget everything. We lose our self; lose our friends and many more to gain one thing that only satisfies our self, which would only bring harm to our self.
Today Jesus tells us to seek the kingdom of God. He tells us to give it top priority in our lives. We need to realize that God is our beginning and end, and so we should prepare ourselves to answer him at the end of our time.
