Readings: Ez 17: 22 – 24; Cor 5: 6 – 10; Mk 4: 26 -34

In the first reading, God promises the exaltation of the tribes of Israel, where all tribes will find rest in the Lord. Through this reading, God calls us to be rooted in His tree of life, where our lives will be holy and disciplined. God has promised to raise us from our failures and sins, and now it is our responsibility to hold fast to Him and flourish in our faith.

In the second reading, St. Paul urges us to have confidence in the Lord and maintain goodwill. We must keep our trust in the Lord in all situations, whether good or bad. Whatever we do, we should do it with goodwill, pleasing God with our actions.

In the Gospel, Jesus compares the Kingdom of God to the nature of the world. He invites us to sow seeds of faith in our lives and bring forth shoots of goodness and holiness. Pope Francis reminds us, “Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” Let us remain in the promise of the Lord, maintaining confidence and goodwill, and sow the seeds of faith in our lives to fully establish the Kingdom of God.
