Surrender to the Divine

Readings: Is 22:19-23; Rom 11:33-36; Mt 16:13-20

Today the word of God invites me to believe in and witness to Jesus as “the living God” who lives and travels with me all through my life. The expression of St. Peter in the Gospel, “you are the Christ, the Son of the living God” reminds me that Jesus is with me and cares for me always.

During this Covid-19 crisis, I am invited by Jesus to have strong faith, hope and complete trust in him. The strong faith, hope and trust in Jesus helps me to realize that he is in me and I am in him. Today’s liturgy also invites me to understand and grow in the knowledge and wisdom of God.

In the second reading, St. Paul expresses God’s wisdom and knowledge as rich and deep which is beyond the human mind. I believe that God the creator grants me his wisdom and knowledge daily, to know his ways, to choose what is right and fulfill his plans. Through his wisdom and knowledge, God inspires me to be one and in communion with him. God’s wisdom and knowledge also help me to surrender myself totally to the care of the divine.
