The first reading emphasizes the importance of wisdom in our lives. We need to heed its invitation and listen to its whispers and insights as guiding principles to understand the love of God and his wonders.
St. Paul invites us today to embrace wisdom and live our lives wisely, especially in this present digital world where everything is available at our fingertips. That is why St. Paul warns us not to waste our time but to use it wisely and properly for the glory of God and the good of society. In the gospel, Jesus gives the greatest grace ever—the Eucharist—to the world, especially to us who believe in him. The Eucharist is the source and summit of all Christian life (CCC 1324).
The Eucharist is the highway to heaven (Blessed Carlo Acutis). Jesus gives himself for us so that we may have life, life to the full (John 10:10). The Eucharist reveals the real presence of Christ. It assures us of everlasting life, gives us wisdom, healing, peace, hope, and strengthens our faith in the Lord. In the Eucharist, we encounter Christ and become one with him. Let us pray for a greater desire for the Lord and live as people of wisdom.
