The liturgy of the day invites me to introspect and grow in my faith like the Israelites.
In the first reading, we see the deep faith of Israelites in God and the great reverence they gave to the Ark of the Covenant. We see the strong faith of the people regarding the dwelling of God in the Ark of the Covenant.
They rejoiced in receiving God among them with a mighty voice. Today, let us ask ourselves how much time we spend in reading and reflecting the word of God and how much we rejoice in welcoming God in our daily lives.
The gospel of the day invites all of us to have faith in Jesus the healer. Despite being infected with leprosy, the man still had deep faith in Jesus and asked for healing as Jesus willed. Most often in our lives, we fail to accept God’s plan. Rather, we tell God what our desires and plans are and ask God to grant them. Reflecting on the gospel, I placed myself in the place of the leper, and found myself as a person who needs his healing in many ways.
I need the healing of Jesus from my evil thoughts, negative emotions, bad habits, healing from addiction to the digital world, my laziness and so on. Let us seek the healing touch of Jesus in true faith and pray that we may win against evil in our lives to walk in the path of heaven.
